The hot runner is where a preform or closure tool either performs or disappoints. MEPA manufactures hot runner systems for both preform and closure injection, built to the same precision standard as the moulds they feed, and supplied new or as replacements for existing moulds.
Systems are made for the mainstream industrial PET machines already installed in the market, so a hot runner can be specified against the press a plant is running rather than requiring a change of machine.
Adapters and conversion parts are available alongside: personalised parts for bottle mouth modification, for bottle shape and capacity changes, and conversion parts that let the same blowing mould run on different blowing equipment. For a converter, that combination is what turns a new product launch from a tooling project into an adaptation of what is already on the floor.
